Emily Press Label Giveaway

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

How many times have you sent your child off to school with new shoes, a cool (and expensive!) water bottle, a great lunch box, a treasured book or favorite shirt only to have him or her return home empty handed, the item in question never to be seen again? Having spent countless hours fruitlessly searching through lost and found bins, I feel like that’s been the recurring story of my little ones’ school adventures! Recently however, I ordered these Emily Press kids labels and they have truly changed my life. One day I ran around the house going label crazy on my kids’ shoes, clothing and so on, ensuring that the next time one of their things disappeared at school, it would eventually make it’s way home to its rightful owner. The labels come in three sizes and are both beautiful and durable, coming in different styles and designs and withstanding the toughest beatings (they are dishwasher and laundry safe).

Emily Press is offering FIVE weelicious moms the chance to win the First Class School Pack or new Cool 4 School Pack personalized with their child’s name on them.

To enter, just leave a comment here telling me the worst thing your kid ever lost. Winners will be chosen at random.

Good luck!

Kids Konserve Lunch Bag Giveaway

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

There are a lot of challenges when it comes to getting your kid’s school lunch ready. “Sandwich or pasta?” “Fresh or dried fruit?” “If I put a cookie in for a treat, will my kid eat her veggies?” “Is this lunch nutritionally balanced?” I’m sure that one or all of these questions have gone through your head at some time. But with all of the greater awareness we have about the environment and the effects of plastic on our kids’ health, the biggest questions may be, “what do I put the lunch IN? Is it BPA free? Will my child be able to open it?” And so on.

I recently got these Kids Konserve Lunch Bags and they’re awesome! As parents of young children, Kids Konserve founders Lynn and Chance were shocked by the amount of lunch trash being produced each day at their kids’ schools. How could they set an example of conservation for their children and empower them to be agents of change for the future if the way they were packing school lunch every day contributed so much to Earth’s ever-growing garbage pile? These savvy women researched reusable products and now produce a line of amazing products that dramatically cut down on waste, are made from the safest materials and send the right message to our children.

Lucky for us, Kids Konserve is offering four weelicious moms the chance to win one of their beautiful Waste-Free Lunch Kits (in either caterpillar or butterfly). Each lunch kit includes a recycled cotton sack, cloth napkin, stainless steel beverage bottle, food kozy and two food-grade stainless steel 8-oz. containers.

To enter, just leave a comment here telling me what kind of lunch you are sending (or sent) with your little one for the first day of school. Winners will be chosen at random.

For extra credit and if you want to be my BFF (with this being back-to-school and all), please take two seconds to tell me your thoughts to the four questions in the below link (quick disclaimer, this is me doing independent research — it’s not in any way advertiser supported).

Woolly Pocket Giveaway

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

This past year we’ve been spending a good chunk of time in the garden and for good reason. Watching the kids planting, watering, picking weeds and nurturing the fruits, vegetables and plants has been a magical experience. I’ve also gotten inspired by a variety of garden accessories and recently stumbled upon Woolly Pockets. They are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, the pockets are soft-sided, breathable, lightweight and hold a variety of plants.

EcoMom and Woolly Pockets are offering three weelicious viewers a ‘Tina Island‘ and a ‘Mini Wally’ in green with the adorable book “The Moving Garden” to inspire your little gardener to get involved too.

To enter, just leave a comment below telling me what you planted in your garden this summer. The winners will be chosen at random and notified next week. Good luck!

LapTop Lunch Box Giveaway

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

It’s time to get ready for school lunch again and one of the things that makes life easier is having the perfect container to pack it in.

If you follow our School Lunch of the Day series, you know of my love for bento style lunch boxes knows no bounds. From their environmentally friendly design to their durability they are the best. I find it makes packing school lunch much easier too. I always try to make sure I put a fruit veggie, carbohydrate and protein in every lunch to make sure I’m offering my kids a healthy balance of what they need and with the interchangeable separate containers it’s simple to do. Not only will it make preparing your child’s lunch a breeze, but your little one will be able to open their lunch and see their entire meal in the flip of the lid.

I’m so excited that Lap Top Lunches is offering FOUR weelicious moms a chance to win their Honor Roll Bento Lunch Box (in your choice of polka dot or red). It includes a box with 5 containers and lids, carrying case, fork, spoon, recipe book and ice pack to keep your child’s lunch cool for hours. We’ve used the same Lap Top Lunch boxes for 3 years and they look as good as new (and trust me, they get plenty of wear and tear).

To enter, just leave a comment below telling me your child’s favorite lunch recipe. The winners will be chosen at random and notified next week. Good luck!

Graze Organics Create Your Own Lunch Kit Giveaway

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Almost two years ago I found Graze Organics reusable bags and napkins and it forever changed the way I packed my kids snacks and lunch. I had been looking for an alternative to all of the paper towels, napkins and Ziploc bags I had gone through and disposed of to live at the bottom of a landfill. I felt like my search for something better was over when I found Graze. Their products were beautifully made, perfect to carry whatever I made and a great way for me to help the planet in my own little way.

California moms and Graze Organics founders, Heather & Leslie, have made the process of Creating-Your-Own Lunch Kit a fun, personalized & interactive experience and now weelicious moms get to be part of the fun! Three winners will be able to go on the Graze website and create their own lunch kits for their little one (or even themselves) by picking out an organic cloth lunch tote, napkin, and reusable sandwich/snack bag, all of which come in a variety of fun silk screened prints that are all washable (I’ve washed my sandwich bags 100 times and they’re all still as good as new)!

To enter, just leave a comment below telling me what you plan on putting in your child’s lunch box for the first day of school. Three winners will be chosen at random and notified next week.

Good luck!
